Baton Rouge, Louisiana rapper Lil Boosie may be behind bars, after an indictment for murder. The 27 year-old Trill Entertainment/Warner Brothers/Asylum Records star was indicted this June while already serving time for a probation violation. “I’m innocent; I’m completely innocent,” stated the rapper after he was transferred from Hunt Correctional Institute in St. Gabriel, Louisiana to East Baton Rouge Paris Prison following the additional charges.  “My situation is one that is unjust, unfair and based on an attack against Hip Hop and Rap as a whole.”

Despite his legal troubles, Boosie’s label will release the rapper’s fourth solo album, the aptly-titled Incarcerated this October 26th. “Even through these circumstances my family, labels and fans have stood by me and I thank you for that.  My album Incarcerated comes at a real changing point in my life,” Boosie said in a statement. The album will be backed by two singles, “My People” and “Turn Tha Beat Up.” Warner Brothers revealed that a portion of the sales from Incarcerated will go towards Boosie and his co-defendants’ legal funds.

The collection of songs features all new songs, as well as bonus DVD, Ghetto Stories: The Movie. The film stars Boosie, along with longtime rhyme partner Webbie as well as Flavor of Love alum Hoopz, along with cameo appearances from Bun B and Paul Wall.

Boosie’s label-mate Gucci Mane, also has a forthcoming CD taking on a similar themes, The Appeal.
