7L & Esoteric Back Together For New Album, “1212”

7L & Esoteric Back Together For New Album,

UPDATE: Tracklisting included, featuring Sadat X, Inspectah Deck, Reef The Lost Cauze, Evidence and more.

After working on solo projects for nearly four years, Boston-based Hip Hop duo 7L & Esoteric are back together to release their latest album 1212.

Describing the direction of their new album, Esoteric released a statement on his official site explaining, “1212 is about being honest with yourself and accepting your shortcomings. 1212 is about loosening your grip and extending a hand. 1212 is about finding yourself and maybe finding that special someone else along your journey.”

Keeping to their previous roots, he added, “It is also about taking the closest weapon and beating your opponent to a bloody pulp. 1212 sums up everything we want out of a rap album: hell, aggression, and truth.”

While the track listing for 1212 has not been finalized, expected features for their fifth studio album include Reef The Lost Cauze, Statik Selektah, Evidence, Inspectah Deck and Vinnie Paz, among others.

1212 will be released on Fly Casual Records, Esoteric’s own imprint label. (June 26)
